Harry W. Smith is an artist, author, jeweler, sculptor and designer. His works are in museums and private collections worldwide. Harry has had many one man shows in the US. He has written and illustrated several books. His series of intricate three-dimensional sterling silver Christmas ornaments are created entirely by him. Harry’s unbelievable detailed pieces of furniture in miniature are known worldwide and have been the subject of many books. He is rated as one of America’s top traditional craftsmen by Early American Life.
Harry and his wife, Marsha, collaborate on their original designs they do for many nationally known companies. A love and respect of nature is reflected in each design. Their home sits on the side of Mt. Battie, overlooking Camden harbor and the coast of Maine. From his studio, Harry sketches moose, deer, birds and wildflowers. His paintings of the ocean and sailing vessels have been the subject of several of his books. Rocky, their 20-pound cat, resides in the studio and has occasionally been a model.
