Meet Quilting Designers of the StudioE Fabrics RSVP Program – Kathy Delaney and Gyleen X Fitzgerald

Kathy Delaney

Meet Kathy Delaney. This is her block that will be a part of the final Peppered Cottons quilt to be shown at the Spring ’18 Quilt Market in Portland.

Kathy Delaney is an enthusiastic teacher of quilt making techniques, most notably hand appliqué. While appliqué is her first love, only four of her seven books are about appliqué. The others are chocked full of quilt making techniques using the sewing machine.

Kathy has been a Bernina Ambassador and Loyalist for more than 10 years and a Colonial Needle enthusiast for longer, developing the Kathy Delaney Needle Pack for Colonial Needle. Kathy is an award winning quilter, having won awards for excellence on the local as well as national levels and has taught for national and regional quilt shows for many years.

Favorite of all, Kathy enjoys visiting guilds and shops across the country, teaching that which she loves most – quilt making! Her list of programs and workshops is varied and Kathy is regularly developing new workshops to entice quilters into learning something new or revisiting techniques for review.

Kathy is the author of seven books! Website:
