I have been sewing and designing for many years. I started as a 4-H member at the age of 9 and immediately started sewing and designing my own garments. A critical care nurse by trade, I am the owner of Bungalow Quilting and Yarn in Ripon, Wisconsin. I believe that increased health benefits are achieved by interacting with color and fiber. I have been a Wisconsinite my whole life and my inspiration is derived from my customers and my physical surroundings. I am the author of 5 books published by C&T Publishing. Those books are Quilts for Scrap Lovers, Rainbow Quilts for Scrap Lovers, Sew Cuddly, Tantalizing Table Toppers and Sensational Scrap Quilts. My favorite quilts are scrappy and spontaneous. I love the look of bright colors combined in interesting and unexpected ways. I have been a guest on Nancy Zieman’s Sewing with Nancy in a 2 part series about my books and continue to teach classes across the country. I am on faculty for the International Quilt Festival in Houston. I have had a fabric line with Ink and Arrow Fabrics. I have appeared on local morning TV shows in Wisconsin. I have 4 grown children and a husband of 33 years.
