Lorella Avinci was born and raised in Busto Arsizio, Italy. As a child her passion was drawing and painting. She graduated from a local Art High School. Since 1984 she has been working as a freelance illustrator. Initially she worked for advertising studios creating hyper-realistic illustrations and then for various known companies such as Pigna and Clementoni. She then expanded her work to publishing greeting cards, creating posters and designing gift wrapping paper.
During the past 15 years she has illustrated and edited stories for more than 50 children’s books. Most of these stories have then been translated and published into various languages. Her technique is based on airbrush style combined with digital techniques.
