Former California girl, Rena (Veerkamp) Askey currently resides in Southern Wisconsin with her husband and their youngest son who is in college. Their two older sons live close by with their families. Rena is a self-taught artist who enjoys working in a variety of mediums. Acrylics and watercolor are her favorites. Rena loves to work with a childlike friendliness which is approachable to everyone. Rena has designed garden flags for Lowes and holiday decor for the Raz Company. She currently has a line of greeting cards. When she isn’t creating art, Rena loves to quilt! Like most quilters, she loves collecting fabric for her quilts.
